WriteGentle Help / FAQ

Get better messages faster. Here is how.

WriteGentle is a focused writing tool for professional messages. It helps you improve a draft, write a reply, or generate a new message in the language and tone you need.

This page explains the main workflow, common questions, privacy-related behavior, and how to contact support without sending more information than needed.

Quick start

Use the app as a structured writing workflow, not an open-ended chat.

Choose a task

Use Improve my text to polish a draft, Write a reply to answer an incoming message, or Generate message to create a new text from your short description.

Add context

Select the output language, tone, profile, or template so WriteGentle understands the situation without asking you to write a long prompt.

Review and copy

Read the result, adjust if needed, copy the version that fits best, and send it in your email, messenger, form, or document.

Use one account everywhere

Your WriteGentle account is designed to work across web, Apple devices, and Android. Sign in with the same account to use your available plan and saved workspace on supported platforms.

Upgrade when you need more

Paid plans add higher daily capacity, longer inputs, more profiles, two versions when available, and explanation features that help you understand why a message works.

Know your daily limit

Daily generation limits depend on your plan: Free includes 5 generations, Personal includes 50, Pro/Team includes 200, and Ultra includes 500 generations per day.

What is WriteGentle for?

WriteGentle helps you create professional written communication: emails, replies, follow-ups, polite refusals, payment reminders, apology messages, HR messages, landlord or bank messages, and similar real-life texts.

Is WriteGentle a chatbot?

No. WriteGentle is a task-based writing tool. You choose what you want to do, add the text or context, select language and tone, and receive a ready-to-use result.

Which task should I choose?

Choose Improve my text when you already have a draft. Choose Write a reply when someone sent you a message and you need to respond. Choose Generate message when you only know what you want to say and need WriteGentle to draft the full message.

Can I start in my own language and get a message in another language?

Yes. You can describe what you want in the language that feels natural to you and choose the output language for the final message. Always review the result before sending, especially for legal, medical, financial, or highly sensitive communication.

What are profiles?

Profiles help WriteGentle understand who you are in a communication context: for example, freelancer, employee, job seeker, founder, tenant, or student. A profile can make the result more consistent with your role, communication goal, and preferred style.

What are templates?

Templates are reusable scenarios for common messages, such as follow-ups, client replies, complaints, salary negotiation, payment reminders, or deadline extension requests. They help the app produce a better answer without making you explain the scenario from scratch.

What does tone change?

Tone changes how direct, soft, neutral, firm, or assertive the message sounds. It does not change the facts you provide. If the situation is sensitive, choose a calmer tone and review the final wording carefully.

Why do I sometimes see one version and sometimes more?

The number of versions depends on your plan and request settings. Some plans or situations may return one version; paid plans may support two variants, such as a safer professional version and a more confident one.

Does WriteGentle store my original input text?

Original input text is not stored by default. If you enable input storage in history settings, it may be stored with the history entry. See WriteGentle Privacy for the current app-specific privacy explanation.

Does WriteGentle save history?

History is off by default for new accounts. If you enable history, generated responses may be stored until you delete them or delete your account. You can also delete individual history items or all history where supported in the app.

What is included in the free version?

The free version lets you try the core writing workflow with up to 5 generations per day. Some advanced options, higher limits, and multi-version or explanation features may depend on your plan.

If I sign up or buy a subscription on one platform, can I use it on other platforms?

Yes. WriteGentle is designed around one account that can be used across supported platforms: web, Apple devices, and Android. Sign in with the same account, and the app should use your server-side plan and limits wherever that platform is supported. Store purchases may still be managed through the store where you bought them.

Why can the price in Google Play or the App Store differ from the price shown on the upgrade page?

The upgrade page may show base plan prices for orientation. The final price you see during purchase is set by Google Play or the App Store for your region and may include local taxes, currency conversion, store pricing tiers, and store commissions. Always check the final price shown by the store before confirming a purchase.

Why did I hit a limit?

WriteGentle uses plan-based limits for daily generations, input length, versions, and some advanced features. Limits protect service reliability and cost. If you reach a daily limit, you can wait for reset or upgrade when paid plans are available to you.

Can some content be rejected by the AI provider?

Yes. Some requests may be rejected or blocked by the model provider's safety systems. This can include content involving harassment, hate speech, sexually explicit material, dangerous instructions, child safety risks, illegal activity, fraud, scams, phishing, malware, privacy violations, or attempts to bypass safety protections. If this happens, rewrite the request in a safe, professional, and lawful way.

What should I do if generation fails?

Try again with a shorter input, check your connection, and make sure you are signed in. If the app shows an error code or request ID, save it. It can help support investigate the issue without seeing your private message content.
