Privonaut Help / FAQ

Privonaut is being tested carefully. Public access is coming soon.

Privonaut is currently in testing. We are checking model behavior, document handling, workspace setup, retrieval quality, tool safety, and user experience before making it publicly available.

This page explains what Privonaut is designed to do, how the workspace model works, and what users should expect when the product becomes available.

FAQ

Answers will be updated as the product moves from testing to public release.

What is Privonaut?

Privonaut is a personal AI workspace. It is designed to help users work with their own documents, notes, projects, and recurring tasks through an assistant that can retrieve relevant context and run structured workflows.

Is Privonaut available now?

Privonaut is currently being tested and will be available soon. We are testing reliability, setup flow, document indexing, model behavior, and safety boundaries before public access.

Do I need to be a programmer to use it?

No. Privonaut is intended for non-technical users. The goal is to provide a guided interface for personal AI setup, knowledge search, and workflows without requiring users to manage infrastructure directly.

How is this different from a normal AI chat?

A normal AI chat often starts from a blank prompt. Privonaut is designed around a workspace: selected documents, task preferences, reusable workflows, and assistant behavior that can improve around the way you work.

Will Privonaut use my documents?

Only documents and sources that the user intentionally adds or connects should be available to the assistant. The product is designed around explicit workspace sources, not silent scanning of everything on a device.

Does Privonaut train a model on my files?

The intended default approach is retrieval-based knowledge use: documents are indexed so relevant parts can be found and used as context. This is different from permanently retraining the underlying model on every file.

Can Privonaut run tools or agents?

Privonaut is designed to support structured workflows and controlled tools over time. Tool access should be permission-based and limited, because a personal AI assistant must be useful without receiving unnecessary power over the user’s workspace.
