Find & Explain Help / FAQ
Find & Explain is intentionally simple: one input, two actions, and a clear way to end the session. Use Find when you want web results and Explain when you want a structured answer that makes a topic easier to understand.
The app is best for sensitive, confusing, or personal questions where you want clarity without turning the task into a long browsing or chat history.
A three-step flow for focused questions.
Write only the details needed to understand the topic. Avoid adding names, addresses, or account numbers unless absolutely necessary.
Use Find for web results and Explain for a short, structured answer. You can use both if you want sources and plain-language context.
When finished, use the wipe action to clear temporary state and close the current session flow.
Answers are written to help you use Find & Explain clearly and safely.
Find returns web search results as clean source cards with titles, snippets, source domains, and copyable links. It is meant for quickly discovering relevant public information without starting from your normal browser search flow.
Explain gives a structured AI answer to your question. It can summarize a topic, break something into steps, compare options, or make a confusing subject easier to understand.
Find + Explain combines source cards from web search with a plain-language answer based on the shown source metadata. It is useful when you want both sources and context in one flow.
Find uses 1 credit, Explain uses 2 credits, and Find + Explain uses 3 credits. Find more uses 1 credit for the next visible page of results, and Find + Explain more uses 3 credits. Credits are prepaid, there is no subscription, and the backend wallet is the source of truth for your balance.
New accounts start with 5 trial credits and up to 2 trial Find actions. Explain uses trial credits but does not use the Find limit. Find + Explain uses trial credits and counts as a Find action. Paid credits are separate and can be used after the trial limit is reached.
No. It is not a full browser and does not include an embedded browsing experience. The app shows source cards and lets you copy URLs; if you open a copied link elsewhere, that happens outside the app.
History Mode is off by default. If you turn it on, shown questions, answers, and source cards can be saved locally on your device so you can review and delete them from the See history page. Hidden cached results are not saved to history until they are actually shown.
It clears the current question, visible results, explanation, and temporary session state. It does not delete saved local history; use See history to review or delete local saved history.
The app uses a minimal account for access, credits, purchases, and optional recovery. Your questions and answers are not meant to be saved to the account as a profile or permanent content history.
Explain can use either the cloud model or the local/private model, depending on the mode you choose in the app. Cloud mode sends the request through the Personal.Live backend to a cloud AI provider. Local/private mode uses a Personal.Live-controlled local model path instead of the cloud provider. The selected mode is shown in the app where relevant.
Yes. In cloud mode, the cloud AI provider may apply its own safety and usage policies, which can affect whether a request is answered and how the answer is phrased. Local/private model mode may behave differently, but the app still does not replace professional medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.
You can use the app to understand terms, prepare questions, or explore general context. It should not replace a qualified doctor, lawyer, accountant, emergency service, or other professional.
Avoid unnecessary identifiers such as full names, addresses, account numbers, passwords, private keys, exact workplace details, or anything you would not want to send over a network.
